We decided to hold a “class” of sorts at the garage last weekend. We felt that there was a gap between people who attend track days and folks who want to go, but hesitate for whatever reason.
We advertised on some of the popular forums with New England regions, and got quite a bit of interest.
The event covered the basics of getting onto the race track, including the organizations who run events and the differences between them, costs and financial issues of racing, pre and post event logistics, car preparation and a few other topics.
In the end, a lot of people left feeling they were ready to hit the track in the spring, and we had some good feedback on holding future events.
