Field Report>>Pierre Takes 1st in S2 at Philo Hillclimb

Customer Field Report!

We at DSG love to see customer reports like this. It makes us feel all warm and cozy inside.

Pierre Julliard recently attended his first hillclimb event a few weeks ago. Since then he has been hooked on the motorsports lifestyle.  The New England Hillclimb Championship has a breakout rule which means a car cannot finish a run below the posted breakout time more than two times.  If a driver “breaks out” they cannot compete at the same hill with the same car again until it has a roll cage. Pierre broke out at Ascutney and the probability of doing it again at Philo was high.

Knowing that, Pierre headed down to Chris Howard in Holliston, MA to get a full rally-spec custom cage installed. His car was then compliant to street prepared rules. Picking up the car Friday night, he was able to get the dashboard installed AND drive up to the race from MA to Burlington VT at 10pm in order to be ready for Saturday morning’s Mt. Philo hillclimb event.

Pierre’s DSG-tuned and prepared Evo was running on street tires, and was rumored to be the fastest car at the event on street tires. Pierre claimed 1st place in S2 class with a 1:12 run, and 6th place overall. Congrats to Pierre. Its an impressive result for a (mostly) stock Evo on street tires.

Pierre would like to thank Rogue Status for their support over the 2008 Season.

    Poor EVO!!!

Looks like “she” is going to need a Face Lift after Ascutney II.
